Basler Münster

Moving onto the city of Basel, we sat with coffees in the afternoon sun in a dainty cafe on the square of Basler Münster. The cobbled streets stretch out across the large square which during peak season is full of tourists, local visitors and on this occasion groups of choirs members. The red sandstone walls and tiled twin towers sit grand above the cityscape of Basel looking over the sun soaked rhine.

We spent the remaining time of our trip strolling along the pathways of the rhine in the old and new sector. Each delicately decorated bridge led to different quarters and new areas for us to explore, by foot or tram.
