Pilatus

During our visit to Lucerne we have only had one full day to go further afield on an excursion. The decision was to reach the peak of Pilatus. One long bus ride out of Lucerne centre town and we could start the multi cable car ascent.

We spent most of the day at Fräkmüntegg laying in deckchairs in the sun with a glorious view across the mountain side. The highlight of the trip was the toboggan ride experience down the 1350 metre steel channel, with twists and curves, speeding you through the sights. The ride takes you in a round trip, pulling you back up the mountain to enjoy the views at a slower pace.
