It seemed it was a must to visit the famous design museum in Zurich, tucked away the busy street looking onto a fountain square. The main exhibit during our visit was Atelier Öi collection, a swiss design agency, founded by a team of three gentleman. They each share values of humanity and art, sharing their multidisciplinary skills and in order to create installations that bring the individual closer to the elements, to nature, to the material and to the emotions. It is clear that there is a clear process of art and architectural thinking into each method.
The installations were located in the main building, a generous and atmospheric space across two stories. The ways in which they have found to manipulate material clear shows that a material or an object is not just simply is one function, there is further uses or functional life that is possible.
